2023 Finishing Seminar!
/in NewsColumbia Industrial Supplies 2023 finishing seminar has wrapped up for the year. This year it took place on Friday February 3rd and Saturday February 4th. Camosun College was kind enough to lend their Fine Furniture Department again to host this event. Our gust speakers included the North American Technical Sales Representative for Milesi Wood Coatings, Joseph Pilon as well as the Canadian Technical Sales Representative for Sia Abrasives, Venessa Baker. Both Joe and Venessa bring many years of knowledge and experience to the table and were able to share their tips, tricks and product knowledge with the class. We here at Columbia Industrial Supplies are proud to be able to host an event like this to help expand our industries knowledge on the wood coatings process. Below are some pictures from the event!

We are stocking a variety of Electric and Pneumatic sanders, the SurfPrep vacuum as well as accessories and abrasives. We have an in store demo set up so please feel free to come on by to try it out.
Columbia Industrial Supplies Award
/in NewsEach year Columbia Industrial Supplies sponsors an award given at the Camosun College Fine Furniture program. This award recognizes a student who displays an interest in wood finishing and who uses a variety of techniques completed to a high standard. This years winner was Alexander Harper!
Camosun College Colour Course 2022
/in NewsColumbia Industrial Supplies is a proud supporter of the woodworking program at Camosun College. Typically we spend a day with students developing colours and helping them understand the process of how to achieve the desired finish. With current restrictions and guidelines we were unable to do so this year. Materials were donated from Columbia Industrial Supplies and the students have been hard at work!
